Because the combustible gas alarm uses a catalytic fuel sensor, the sensor's sensitivity will naturally decrease by 10% to 30% per year under normal use conditions (no basis for the time being), and its life span is only 2 to 5 years. If the sensitivity of the alarm sensor drops and the leaked gas concentration reaches the lower explosive limit and fails to give an alarm in time, there will be a danger of explosion. Therefore, the alarm needs to be calibrated regularly every year to ensure the accuracy and reliability of its performance and value. In view of this, if the alarms used by enterprises do not conduct annual periodic verification, they will cause a decrease in inspiration, which looks normal, but in fact they have left serious accident risks. Once a leak occurs, the consequences will be disastrous.
At present, many gas alarm users in my country do not understand the corresponding laws and regulations of the country, do not understand the working principle and technical characteristics of gas alarms, or pay insufficient attention to the safety performance of the alarms, resulting in a large number of combustible gas alarms in use so far Failure to declare and accept mandatory verification on time.
