With the rapid development of my country's industrial economy, the scope of application of various hazardous chemicals, flammable and explosive gases is constantly expanding. If these flammable and explosive gases leak during production and use, they will cause major accidents such as poisoning, fire and explosion.
The combustible gas alarm (abbreviated as the alarm) is a device that prevents harmful, toxic, flammable, and explosive gases from leaking during production and use. In actual use, the alarm sets the lower explosive limit (such as 25%LEL) as the alarm point. Once a leak occurs, the gas concentration reaches the lower explosive limit (alarm point). The alarm will immediately alarm, disconnect the power supply, and open the ventilation system at the same time. Enable personnel to deal with dangerous situations within a certain period of time. The reliability of the alarm in the process of use will directly affect serious problems such as endangering people's lives, property safety, and pollution of the natural environment.
Because the combustible gas alarm uses a catalytic fuel sensor, the sensor's sensitivity will naturally decrease by 10% to 30% per year under normal use conditions (no basis for the time being), and its life span is only 2 to 5 years. If the sensitivity of the alarm sensor drops and the leaked gas concentration reaches the lower explosive limit and fails to give an alarm in time, there will be a danger of explosion. Therefore, the alarm needs to be calibrated regularly every year to ensure the accuracy and reliability of its performance and value. In view of this, if the alarms used by enterprises do not conduct annual periodic verification, they will cause a decrease in inspiration, which looks normal, but in fact they have left serious accident risks. Once a leak occurs, the consequences will be disastrous.
At present, many gas alarm users in my country do not understand the corresponding laws and regulations of the country, do not understand the working principle and technical characteristics of gas alarms, or pay insufficient attention to the safety performance of the alarms, resulting in a large number of combustible gas alarms in use so far Failure to declare and accept mandatory verification on time.
The safety accident caused by the failure of the combustible gas alarm due to the failure to report and verify on time will be held accountable for the negligence of the relevant personnel.
According to the relevant regulations of the "Measurement Law of the People's Republic of China", combustible gas alarms are compulsory verification measuring instruments, and compulsory verification measuring instruments must be subject to mandatory verification in accordance with the law. Article 11 of the "Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Metrology Law of the People's Republic of China" stipulates that "Units and individuals who use compulsory verification of work measurement instruments shall apply for periodic verification to the measurement verification agency designated by the local county (city) to the metrological administrative department of the people's government. Locally. If the verification is not possible, the measurement verification agency designated by the metrological administrative department of the people's government at the next higher level shall apply for periodic verification."
